More chance of Brendan Rodgers hitting a 50% winning streak. So not at all likely, then.

Rafa said he'd never go to Utd or Everton out of respect for LFC. He can't be expected to refuse every job some fan gets gurny about. He outsmarted Jose in the CL and that's why RA wants him. He'll get Torres scoring again but personally I wish he had elsewhwere to go to because he's better than taking the poisoned Russian chalice.

I'm not sure Jesus could get Torres scoring again, he's finished as a top drawer striker imo. His heads gone & he's lost a yard.

I would hate to see Rafa do well with Chelsea after their lot slating him for so long, they don't deserve a decent manager like Rafa.

I can only hope that this is an agreed short term deal with no possibility of an extension

Whoever takes over, I can see another revolution as happened with AVB.

The Chelsea players seemed to respect RDM, can see them not taking to a new manager, especially as the season is nearing the halfway mark.

I say good luck to the man, he's going to need it with the Russian sugar daddy being the actual manager. Rafa will be like the rest, 6 months in the job on a mahoosive wage then a £6 million pay off when he is sacked after a short run of losses. If he thinks he's going to change anything, he better ask Roman first.

He'll get a decent reception at Anfield and deservedly so.

Anyway, it's not going to be very long before the Russki gets bored and offloads his playthings to a wealthy Arab.

No chance of a Torres loan till the end of the season then? I wouldn't have said no to that - think Suarez is similar in style to Villa, and whilst Torres is past his best I think a front four of Suarez, Sterling, Suso and Torres would get goals, mostly from Torres.

Mind you, I still think we'd have been banging them in had we not ignored Jelavic last January when FSG claimed they had no money. <grr>

I disagree with most... I hope he does get Chelsea... he deserves a decent team. I hope he does well there.

I'm far from a fan of Chelsea but I am a fan of Rafa... FSG screwed up not approaching him this summer... and someone has to win the PL. It won't be us this year... it might as well be the chavs as that means Fergies grimey hands won't be touching it.

Also, if Rafa wins the League, and Champions League for Chelsea perhaps FSG will sign him this summer after he gets sacked for not winning the fa cup.

This is no place for a well wishing there Mr Terence Trent D'arby <ok>

I love Rafa and fkn hate the thought of Rafa bring that lot of twats and RA the gangster scumbag putin crony success. Especially after the chavs slating him even now, he should tell them to fk off otherwise they'll be licking his balls soon enough after a few wins so you might wanna move over a bit there n make room MFG <laugh>

I agree. Just feels like another fall from grace for us.

Those great memories of 05-09 are difficult because Torres was such a big part - and Rafa now too! :emoticon-0101-sadsm
