Click here for the full article Apologies if this has already been posted but I quickly skimmed the forum and never saw anything. Anyway, mutual consent, at least Degen had the decency to leave without trying to get a pay-out. Unfortunately Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly have overtook his place, I wish him the best of luck in the future and appreciate the work he has done for us.
Unfortunately??? haha, Degen was pish from the moment we signed him, glad those two have solidified that spot.
Mutual consent doesn't mean he hasn't received a pay off. It might just mean that both parties have come to a compromise and rather than paying the whole of his contract, he's taken half to leave now. Either way, good news. Sad that he couldn't make it and he had a worse injury record than Harry Kewell but was never going to be good enough.
Its best that he's gone, for himself. Hr wasn't going to get games with Kelly, Johnson and Flanagan in front of him. Lets hope he can rebuild his career at another club. Good luck to him in that respect.
Wish him all the best, but it was the right decision to let him go. Theres just no way he would have got a game.
How can i possibly miss someone that i don't even recognise? Best of luck Degen with whatever job you decide to do next.
Haha, very true. I remember seeing him play and thinking...who the **** is that? I keep thinking he should look like Dossena or something.
The guy that limps Keaton always said, "I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him". Well, I believe in God, and the only thing that scares me... is Keyser Soze.
Degen released! I always knew that we had kept him in a cage for the last 2 years to stop him playing. Now he has been released on the footballing world! What kind of club are we?
i thought he said " i don't believe in god, but i'm afraid of him. Well i believe in god and the only thing that scares me is martin skrtel"
