Sounds like one of those noms de plume they use when they don't want to be associated with the story.

After listening to the Spurs v Norwich match on BBC R5 LIVE this afternoon, while I worked, there's plenty of Tottenham fans who'd take 'Arry back in a heartbeat.

Norwich were pretty much better all match, and were dangerous. Spurs players were back heeling in their own area, and the AVB had obviously never taken notice of an old Pop Paisley [actually it was Shanks, but Paisley made it public] saying... Start slow and you can never pick up the pace of the match. Start fast and you can always slow down. Spurs started slow and they remained slow throughout. AVB called a couple of terrible substitutions as well, as it turned out.

He seems to have a knack of making players turn against him, it was like that at Chelsea and the same is happening at Spurs.

I liked him when he was at Porto because he seemed like a sensible bloke who did really well at Porto by winning the league, cup and Europa League, then when he went to Chelsea I thought he'd do well, I wrong I was.

He turned into a moaning, repetitive, boring manager after a few losses at Chelsea, he came up with excuses when things started to deteriorate and he even had the cheek to say that the fact that Chelsea won the Champions league was because of his efforts??What??

I'm fed up with him and can't wait to see him leave.

Still, we're already thinking about replacing Nigel aren't we? No points, none likely so what's ole twitchy doing lately? My God, let's get square on behind Adkins and SUPPORT the team. We've got new players, they'll need time to bed in, so Come On Saints and we can wait.

They just don't understand do they. This is the most pathetic piece of journalism I have ever read and over the years I have read some crap.

Yes, without a doubt, he did superbly well at Porto, but I actually wonder whether his style is just not suitable for the Premier League. The PL is all about pace and workrate, for the majority of teams, and AVB's style appears to be nothing like that. He appears to like his teams to play a European style reminiscent of a bygone age. It may work in Europe but it doesn't in the PL. Anyway, that's my take on it.

As to supporting Nigel, of course we should. Saints have a baptism of fire in their early PL games, and I honestly don't expect much to come out of the earliest fixtures. I did hope for a win against Wigan, but they showed their form of late last season, which was phenomenal at the time. I expect we'll get into our stride, and soon enough too. I'm still expecting Adkins reign to last for a few seasons longer. Wonder how he'll fair in the Champions League..?

He wants his teams to play exactly like Barcelona, he doesn't care to play to the respective teams strengths. At Chelsea, he adopted a high line defense. It was a terrible idea.He has changed the formation around from a successful 4-4-1-1 implemented by Harry to a 4-2-3-1 with Defoe as a lone striker.

The Premier League is a very tough league, perhaps too tough for AVB.

We need to support Adkins and the team. It's still very early days and there is no need to be worried.Saints played ever so well against Man City and fairly well against Wigan they just failed to capitalise on their chances and Al Habsi had a good game between the sticks, on another day it might of been different and the best team won, Wigan, as they scored more goals than us and won the game.

We need to stay calm and relaxed and keep playing the 'Southampton Way' that we want people to remember this style of play so it becomes synonymous to our football club.

We've got a chance against Man Utd tomorrow, a very good chance, it's just a shame that Yoshida and Ramirez won't play, I'm looking forward to seeing them play for us.

Think about the possible scenario , 4 games played 0 pts, then a big pressure game against villa , still no points! Cortese has spent £30m & he will be as twitchy as old saggy chops himself I wouldn't rule it out !
