Best news this Year. Sad he couldn't do this 1 January, but better late than never. Samba is coming back as Manager it seems - very appropriate at the moment
About 1 year too late. Can't believe this was not executed out of the transfer window by the board ,it might leave us with a few players short , but at least he has gone this has dragged on far too long. Time to step up Les your club needs you , but these players owe it to the fans and Saturday is a good place to start
TBH I have been a fan of having some sort of continuity. However, we continue to dish up away performances lacking in imagination, making us easy to predict and play against. New man, hopefully some new ideas on how to get a better results with essentially the same ingredients.
I thought this must be a wind up thread. Pleased, really, but at the same time a little disappointed. It would be interesting to hear the real reason; bad knee my arsenal!
Sad to see him go in such circumstances But no-one comes out of this too well I am afraid..... Arry resigns as the window closes, blaming his knee which we all have been aware of for about a year....He looked haunted last night...he felt let down Sir Les is not squeaky clean....alot of wheeler dealing going on in the background TF and the board, for all there "stand by our man" should have been more proactive, rather than let this drift. I cannot see this turning out well....but possibly it was too toxic for it to have resolved without action All we can do is do our bit Come on uRRRRs
Maybe the window was the final straw for him. He would have had to deal with Ferdinand, and that will be too much for him. Sherwood is nailed on to go in.,
TF's tweet yesterday morning said it all 'Given the right motivation, tactics and coaching we can achieve much more'. Just didn't want to pay him off it seems.
well then...shows much more character than money fleecing Sparky Cheers Harry, thank you for not being Mark Hughes
Never hated Harry. The timing could have been better, but as I said to my son this morning, I think TF has engineered this. He said yesterday that we have a good enough squad to stay in the Prem without signing more players. Personally, I agree.
Very strange timing. All can't have been well behind the scenes. Maybe les has been undermining him, although is there any proof of this. As long as the players are behind whoever is in charge all we can do is give it a go!
Absolutely. Harry's been shafted by the snakes in the grass and now they're in charge. I hope they turn it around of course but this is very poor behaviour
This would have been known inside the club yesterday. I think this is the real reason why no signings were made yesterday.
Absolute tosh Harry shafted himself by presiding over 11 straight away defeats and insisting on Rio. He hung himself and we all know it
For all my criticism of Redknapp, I thank him for that day at Wembley. That's a day me and my two sons will never ever forget! Thanks Harry for that day!
Terrible timing for the window....BUT hopefully it leaves the squad and coaching team time to do something in the rest of the season. Failing that we have a few months to prepare for the Championship (or Conference). Not sad to see him go, I would say we have all endured rather than enjoyed his tenure...
Welcome aboard Chaz Apparently Harry rang TF at 5.30 this morning. That proves that the knee is an excuse.
Agree TF tweet summed it up and was prob final straw.......along with the Zarate / Jarvis farce. What a clown Absolutely right though it was for TF to be focused elsewhere, feel this may have happened earlier if it hadn't been for Air Asia tragedy but the upside to a blank transfer window is that we haven't been lumbered with any more overpaid, overage has beens & wasted any more money Need to move his ridiculous coaching entourage on as well so we have room on the bench for the subs.... Interested to see where Hoddle fits into Ferdinand / Ramsey axis
