I never attacked you, I merely stated that it's ignorant to think that qualifications amount to intelligence.

I don't know whether Harry is innocent or guilty. But it does make my blood boil seeing these bank CEO's getting away with helping themselves to millions after sending their companies to the wall...and laughing all the way to Switzerland (probably).

The only difference is the amount of money and the choice of country - the rest sounds about right :p

Looks like there's going to be at least one conviction resulting from this case.
A journalist for the Guardian is being charged with two counts of contempt of court after tweeting a juror's name and some information that the jury wasn't privy to.
    Good.

I hope that Redknapp doesn't have to face an arse-trial.
    Sounds unpleasant.

    Anyone know the juror's name?

It raised a giggle in court for matching a famous footballer's name, and I'm curious.

Interesting testimony today. Mandaric says the disputed money in Monaco was his, not Redknapp's. Also he says he paid tax in America on the money there. If this is accepted, then surely no case to answer? Another HMRC cock-up?

Sounds like £100,000 to them is like me lending my mate a fiver. I wouldn't even ask for it back and it seems like Mandaric has the same attitude.

    It's your £10k

    No, it's your £10k.

I'm all right mate, you have it.

Nah, we won all that money on the horses, and that was your tip. You have it.

I played with your dogs. You have it....

    -----------------------------------------------

    I guess it's all relative.

Storm in a teacup? Is it just a case of not wanting the taxman to get one over them? Are the HMRC stupid enough to take it this far? Arbitration could have settled this before he police got involved. Both men could have looked behind the sofa to pay the tax if it was due.

It's looking good for Spurs, I mean Harry. ;)

Wouldn't be the first, and its what I've maintained all along, they made a balls of the case against Ken Dodd. When it first came out, the amount of tax involved is relative small change in Harry's wealth, he would have just wrote a cheque out imo.

They should think it's normal to have a "casual attitude to what are huge sums of money". They should be his peers. (I can dream of utopia)

Know anyone in the building trade? Tax evasion is rife throughout all classes.

Not trying to pick an argument. Harry is a likeable chap; a charmer too. He probably can win over the jury.

I still can't believe Ken Dodd got away with it, even after all these years. What a ****- up. It's a tattifilarious day for bunging 250 grand in a suitcase, and flying to Jersey. And he got away with it!! I suppose you can see why so many try it on. Even if they do manage to catch you, the chances are you'll still get away with it.

I have a kitchen fitter mate. He phoned his accountant mate last week for some help. "How much do you want to pay?" was the only question asked. It's rife.

Well Mandarics spin today is that the money in Monaco was a joint business venture, deposited there via the US where tax was paid. Very swift bbc coverage of that! interesting!

We've got plenty of rivals thanks and Millwall are rarely in our division either, not really our fault.

Muscle in on your Gooner rivalry? Apart from RIGHT NOW, what has there been to muscle in on?
