From what I've seen of him Lidls, I'd have to say that he can.
He still makes some mistakes, mainly to do with positioning and timing, but he's strong, exceptionally fast, doesn't go to ground unnecessarily and his tackling is very good.

I still think that Corluka will be first choice, for now at least, but Walker looks a great prospect.
If he continues to improve, then we should see the back of Glen Johnson for England pretty soon.

I think there is Luke, we definitely need a new striker to freshen up our front line, a new holding midfielder with Sarge having lost the plot and Sandro out injured and a versatile CB as ours seem to be dropping like flies (although this isn't a concrete requirement, as Kaboul is more than capable of playing there and playing well!)

Chelsea have agreed a fee with Valencia for Juan Mata. Does that mean that they have called off the modders pursuit? Well not according to Guillem Balague i quote "Was told today by a top source at Spurs that Modric will go too. If that is the case, if that happens... wow!! "

This saga is getting boring now, 1 way or another im just looking forward to september the 1st. At least we can then concentrate on the football without this silly season speculation every 5 mins

I expect this 'injury' to last till Sept. 1st, afterwhich it will mysteriously cure itself overnight!

    Guillem Balague is absolutely clueless.
The amount of stuff that he predicts that doesn't come true is unbelievable.
SC ITK threads have more informed people on them.

I would be very surprised if Modric was going anywhere - in this transfer window, at least. I tend to subscribe to the view that Levy is seriously pissed off with The Chavs, and their underhand tactics; and will refuse to sell to them on a point of principle.

The "injury" being that we've locked him in the cellar of the Bricklayers to stop Abramovich tapping him up.
