I would say the chances of Adel being with us next season are probably 100% if we stay up. Did you see the way he ran to the bench, he's loving his football more than ever at Rangers and I'm sure he realizes he can be our talisman again now he's finding form.
The match began to fall apprt in the 75th minute but I dunno - was Clattenburg just trying to get things back under control - no way that was a red card - no way at all. Even the "impartial" commentators said that The lads showed character though - getting the win though down to 10 for over 15 minutes - my heart was in my mouth for most of them
ok, now we know how to win with 10 men, we'll be fine and survive this season, get Taiwo + Diakite for next and build on the team, be in top8 in one year. all we have to do is beat ChelsCum and Stoke, and we could top it off with a win against ManC...
BY the letter of the law yes, but he let Spurs off with everything, Parker takes a blatant no contact dive and no booking yet he got the book out every chance he could get for us. It wasnt even a foul in the 1st place, Hill clearly got the ball and yet was booked as well. He lost it for the last 25 mins of the game, there was a different set of rules for each side. Strangely I think this helps us for the scum, Traore and Taiwo will be more solid down the left and we could do with a bit more pace on the break. I see Cisse coming on if we are losing with 30 to go and then us going 442 against Stoke. I could also see HH starting as well.
Was it as lacking in common sense as that Ben Watson one for you against Reading a few years back? (2nd yellow for taking a quick freekick when he wanted to talk to the Reading player)
I think Cisse will start on one side,Mackie on the other and Zamora up top.The red was a joke,Battenburg forgot he'd already booked him,the ****ing amnesiac.
You always get booked for kicking the ball away....which he clearly did. So a red for a 2nd yellow was correct. However, I agree that a lot of refs probably wouldn't have booked him for it had they realised he was already on a yellow! Not Twatenberg though....he clearly FORGOT he'd already booked Taarabt....what a plonker!!
If it was Scott Parker, it would have been yet another quiet word and no booking. In both our games with Spurs the bloke has managed to commit a dozen fouls including clattering through Barton in the away game and a clear dive yesterday without a card.
Parker gets a 2 min talking to for a terrible dive about a minute before this as every spurs player did, we get a booking for anything. A combination of being a jobsworth and forgetting hed already booked him (for a challenge that was a dive anyway)
