How do you know what wages we were paying? Where did the £70 M come from? £24M to Sam, a Loan on the stadium, further loans from VT (which will be turned into equity - he doesn't own the club yet). As for losing £1M a month, we are servicing loans (not running away from them -see begging bucket thread) as well as running costs (training facilities, etc) and wages. Gate receipts are a small part of a clubs income in general, you'll get more from TV rights than from footfall. Most clubs are highly geared and have very little equity (liquidated assets less debt) as you yourselves know as you don't own the Liberty. The intention of VT is to settle all debts and retain the equity. Hopefully we won't need to be be 'wiser this time round' as we've never been where you have twice been.
ccfc -i dont know how much wages you are paying just read that it was excessive - could be wrong though ill take that but how much of that 1million is servicing loans, must be a lot if the wages are reasonable? cheers for the other info but my initial take on all of this is still valid - through years of mismanagement (by some of the most hated men in football) youve had to be bailed out by moneymen who havent got a clue about football and what it means to the fans. its not my idea of progress but if you do get to the promised land i hope we are still there so we can play you in red - that would be weird !!
