Does the game auto save? As I couldn’t figure it out. So just switched it off. Got to chapter 2 in valentine then shot someone and failed the mission.

In missions there are automatic checkpoints.

In free roam you should manually save often as you'll get in lots of trouble through no fault of your own. Accidentally trampling people to death etc.

Where is the save button then? Nothing there in the pause menu?

My eyes had started to bleed so just turned it off. Probably ****ed it and have to start back at the beginning..

The save/load options are under "Story" in the menu
