Just done a couple of hours. Smashed a couple of decent robberies and now have a bit of cash. Found a nice secluded farm with chicken and pigs and a lovely welcoming ranch man who made me feel at home on his compound, we even shared a nice story about his daughter who’ll be back soon, apparently.

It was a shame that he had to get stabbed to death and had his horse not started making silly noises it would also have lived, as would all of the pigs and chickens.

You could have fed the man to the pigs, that would have kept them quiet

So what chapter are people on?

Just moved camp and starting chapter 3.

Is it me or is deadeye **** compared to the first one?

Just moved on to chapter five.

I think the dead eye is great, smashing the **** out of the gangs etc

There's a posh looking bloke who challenges you to a horse race once you beat him he slaps his horse about so in the interest of animal welfare I shot him in the face. Well worth doing as he has a full set of those cigarette cards on him.

Chapter 2.

On the Deadeye system, it's great once you can use it manually prior to that it's not so good.

Went and got the white Arabian horse yesterday the one you can catch up by the frozen lake.

Also did the mission with the lion which was good.

I can’t get use to dead eye, so I barely use it.

Chapter 4 I think, in a camp just outside the big city / town.
Just go around shooting birds and rabbits with the varmint rifle your deadeye will eventually upgrade to manual so that you tag targets yourself you can probably hit about 5 headshots in one action them.

Finding dinosaur bones and rock carvings also increases deadeye.

How’s your reputation?

The camp?

The group of people..a mish match of misfits...male and female...have a camp set up...tents...cooking, eating, bathing facilities. Like a family...do things for each other..go on missions together etc. You can pay into the camp funds in order to help it upgrade for better facilities.

I have my own sleeping quarters there, wardrobe and such like.

Try the saloon, there is mention of it there. You can also chop wood and fetch water for the cook.

Have you done all the gunslinger stuff yet? Still don't know what to do when I have taken all the photos. I have also run out of missions to do now, thought something would just pop up after I had finished all the ones on the map. Might have to ride round until a question mark appears.

The gunslinger thing comes back later in the story.

Other things I've found if you don't want to plough through the main story...

Find rock carvings - Speak to Francis Sinclair, a man quietly living in his house that's a little northwest of Strawberry in West Elizabeth. Talking to Sinclair gives players the Geology for Beginners quest

Find dinosaur bones - Head north from the first camp near Valentine there's a woman messing about in the dirt she'll ask you to find dinosaur bone locations and mail them to her.

Serial Killer - Near Wallace station just off the road there's a severed arm follow the blood and it'll start the search for a serial killer.

North of Flatneck station there's a Spanish guy who'll give you the first Jack Hall Gang treasure map.

Poisonous Trail Treasure Map - To start down the trail you have to find a map hidden inside a loot box nestled under a bed inside a dilapidated shack found on the outskirts of Cairn Lake, located just East of Colter.

Hunt legendary animals.

Does the last one lead you to @Tel ?

Sounds like fun, so that’s the one I’ll attempt tonight.
