If they are going to do that, I think they'll have to make it easier to score points by awarding points to lower positions. I've always thought this anyway. I don't see why F1 doesnt use the MotoGP scoring system. Theres 15 drivers/riders that score points, but there is still quite a gap between 1st and 2nd (5 points). It makes a 2 tier championship viable as they can still pick up points, and it makes it more interesting. The CRT guys in MotoGP actually do pick up quite a good haul of points considering their speed against the rest, and thats in a race without retirements
