That's the problem Gambol ,it seems the consensus of Gers fans is that they want to work their way back up the leagues, they don’t want any favouritism we are told, but since Rangers were refused entry into the SPL and SFL1 we have had to put up with this pathetic “Kicking Rangers when they are down” bleating campaign. That seems to be running in tandem with the “Lawell is running the SPL/SFA” cobblers.

It is quite clear that Doncaster and Regan are incompetents and were willing to bend over backwards to try and get Rangers into the SPL, maybe they have a short-term plan to do so next season, but I have seen ZERO evidence that they are motivated by anything other than self-preservation. No one is forcing Rangers back into the SPL (if that is what comes to pass) and likewise Peter Lawell is not the prime mover behind this tawdry affair.

Rangers have the choice, work their way up the leagues over 3 seasons or accept a boost up, but hopefully Green and Murray or the Sainted Ally will not start wringing their hands over how the bullies at the SPL/SFA Forced them into a free promotion.

If we are all honest about it, the league does need to be reconsructed. I can't any of the three of the authorities voting themselves out of existence but something needs to be done. Scotland is too small for the SPL/SFA/SFL.

Now is the time to do it. The team that plays at Ibrox might well benefit as a result of it but that doesn't bother me if the wider game benefits.

I wholly agree.

I've never bought into the kicking us when we're down rhetoric and don't personally know anyone who did. Unfortunately it was spouted on certain footie forums and phone ins.

I'm not above blaming Lawell for anything when in mixed company though <laugh>

Chris Morgan. Not sure if that was the league or a cup match but my mate was ragin because his photo was in the Belfast telegraph giving the finger to the Glens fans. Pictured alongside people hurling bottles and bricks. <laugh>

To be fair Dev it seems to be you bringing up the issue of "Kicking Rangers when they are down" more than the actual Rangers fans on here.
