I would love to get excited about getting a corner or free kick near the box again.

The point made about Chris Hughton getting sacked for doing a lot less wrong than Pardew does ring true as I remember - he was sacked when we dropped down to 11th top, which is place we've not been above most of this season.

Sacking Hughton was very wrong - - that doesn't mean, though, that sackign Pardew would be right

It really is quite incredible. We've gone from the best orgainsed team in the league bar none, over acheiving as a result of thorough planning and organisation. We were tactically smart, played nice football, everyone knew their role and for the first time in my memory (even under Bobby), we defended properly.

To now looking disorganised, lacking a tactical plan, players with no self belief and looking half the time like we've just been winging it! Life as a Newcastle United supporter is never dull. Don't get me wrong I have seen that same last team from last season in spells, quite a lot in Europe to be fair where we performed really well. And at times in the league but onyl for short spells in games (WBA A, Man U A, Arsenal A etc).

The key for me is for us to stop trying to be overly clever and go back to the basics of what we did so well last season. And of course sort out our fecking corners!!!!
