    he ****ed up a chance for Tchoyi which could have won the match for them - if he played here and did that, we would be on his case

    I don't care what anybody says, but that second goal was not simple at all. He pounced on error but then still had to outpace and out-strength Alex and then finish with such composure. I think his goal on Saturday was very good!

    I'd rather have a striker that can score the simple goals than a balotelli who decides to flick and miss in front of goal.

    Take nothing away from Long, he chases the ball down and gets rewarded with goals. IMO potentially, he will become a great finisher. People are right in saying he was one that got away. He's a nippy lad that would have worked well with Ameobi/Ba/Best

    Got to love the Did you know bit about Shane Long in his brief summary:
    "Did you know? Long has now scored against Manchester United and Chelsea in his first two appearances for West Brom."
