I think people are missing the point, yes they may have changed the business name, but why? What benefit does it have to us from a business perspective to be called Hull City Tigers, what sponsor is now going to go, hey lets give them an extra million. It makes no sense from a business point of view. If it could be proven to gain us a few million i would listen to their view point, but its not, its going to have no positive impact whatsoever so why do it? Just to please the Allams? More than likely, we are just becoming a toy to them it seems.
The argument seems to be that "Hull City Tigers" sounds better than "Hull City AFC". Maybe that's true if we had started off 109 years ago being called "Hull City Tigers" but changing it now just seems tacky as well as being detrimental to any so called "branding".

The logic of dropping "The" from the Tigers is lost on me, so I'm bound to struggle with the bigger change they seem to be trying to bulldoze through. I wonder if they've done similar with their other businesses and interests?

Good point, but considering the one really successful set of people connected with Hull Tigers are the Allam family it might be worth showing some faith in their judgement and that of the, presumably, fully qualified advisors they use. Just a thought. After all they have brought in the best manager we've ever had, turned the club from a bankrupt Championship side to a viable Premiership side and spent their own money doing so.
