It was far more Cortese then it was either Adkins or Pochettino I think we all know that now. I want a player to either want to play for the Saints( Ings etc) or a player that or respects the manager and grows to love the club. Instead of loving a chairman that gives you everything.

Least he is a player. That could prove people wrong, it's basically why I am not saying my opinion and giving him a chance.
I am at the 'sign anyone' stage at the moment...pretty is a bonus. Have to give people a chance...previous form is only a guide...they may be better or worse for us than their previous club.
Yeah tbf I was firmly in the WTF ARE WE DOING camp when we signed Lovren aswell, just hopeful I'm wrong again. My biggest concern is that I think we will go and sign a fair few players from the Dutch league and the success rate from that league doesn't fill me with confidence. It's not like we are going to be able to get the likes on Indi, De Vrij, Blind, Depay etc as they will go to bigger clubs, we will be going after the ones who are a step down, which is far riskier. Oh reason to be cheerful? We've got some badass floodlights?

Fair enough. But he scores goals. As did Rickie Lambert in League 1, then the Championship. I had serious doubts about him making the step up to the Premier league.
It is more the fact that he was terrible in Serie A, and the handful of times I've seen him for Feyenoord there is nothing in his game that makes me think he is good enough to play in the PL, hoping to be proven wrong though. As I said before I am probably just a bit paranoid about players coming in from the Dutch league as for every Suarez there is a group of players who did well there but terrible abroad (Afonso Alves had a better scoring record than Pelle for example)
You're still convinced Cortese brown-nosed the players, aren't you, Beef. He looked after them sure, but only while they were worth it. The second they weren't a valued member of the squad, out they went, or as soon as possible. That's not brown-nosing, it's efficiency.
I'd take it as clear evidence that she was supressing her true feelings for me. But the judge said I shouldn't think that way.
