Yeah well everyone is different. He put his head up to the players face to confront him for acting like a twat earlier in the game. That rule is ****ing pathetic, and it sickens me how football is full of little girls nowadays.

Never said he was a thug or that the rules aren't stupid. Also I did he had improved, I mean he doesn't stub cigars in team mates anymore.

I was abit gutted when he left, because as a footballer he done alot for us last year, and was rightly voted Player of the Year.

He did have alot of baggage with him though, and he did bring alot of negative press to the club. Weren't there rumours at the start of the season that he and Cabaye didn't really get on at all?

Don't think it was them that didn't get on, I think it's just the fact that Cabaye was our set piece taker and Joey went off on one. As he does...

Do you not remember Barton's pathetic reaction against Arsenal this season?

I'm glad he's gone personally. I appreciate his contribution last season but he essentially engineered a move away using Twitter, just in a manner that might fool some of the more gullible fans amongst us *cough* Tash *cough*

He couldn't have looked any more disinterested in that match - likely the worst performance he'd put in in over a year. The writing was on the pitch that day that he wanted out.

Yep, fair enough be disappointed to not be the set piece taker anymore, but to be a **** and not perform takes the piss.

Fair point. Barton's not allowed to have it both ways, in both cases the offending player knew you can't raise your hands (or head) to another player, but did anyway. He took advantage of the rule by flopping at the hand of Gervinho, and he suffered the same result against Norwich. Players have to know better, no excuses.

And who's to say Cabaye would've kept the role? He was new to the club, takes them for his national team, so Pardew wanted to see what he could do. Obviously Raylor has gotten the opportunity to take a lot since, so Barton should've been a man about it - it's not like he's insecure in his own abilities anyway!

I know he engineered his move away, I personally believe it was because he saw Cabaye play and new he was outclassed and wouldn't keep his spot. So go **** yourself <ok>

Considering Barton's the biggest English play actor I've seen for us I think he can simmer down now. Every time he sees a player rushing to him, he waits just before contact then plays it, before flopping down clutching his ankle/leg/foot. They are fouls, but it's still play acting <laugh>

Yep, I don't have Twitter, but just have a look at few players sometimes. He just argues with Piers Morgan, Matt Holland, Eamonn Holmes and even Dean Gaffney haha. I'd be pissed off if he was still here. He is just a **** haha.

On the play acting, yeah he goes OTT and he doesn't half have a nerve. As people have mentioned v Arsenal he went down like a bag of spanners and yet he feels that he shouldn't have been banned for headbutting Johnson - fair enough it wasn't a big headbutt, but was still a headbutt

What would Cabaye have to do with it? They played in different positions.
Cabaye was never Barton's replacement - He was Nolan's. Obertan was Barton's replacement, and he's nowhere near as good as Barton was for us.

Whether legitimately wanted to go or was just a victim of his own big mouth is unknown to everyone but him, but I feel the club lost a very good player when he went.

No one can doubt he is a good footballer, but its not just about that. He was a disruptive influence in the dressing room as soon as Nolan left.
