I imagine that will sail over the majority of heads on here at quite a substantial altitude.

    Yes!

And you're a simple minded fool if you try to argue otherwise!

And I can't wait to see us beat Southampton 7-6.

Ok, I'll be serious. I get mad and tend towards the negative during the match....it's a fear thing. But keeping it short:

I feel we're much better than I thought we would be this year.

Yes there are still quite apparent issues but the solution being tried by the manager until he has other options (injury heals, next transfer window etc) is both entertaining and also seems to be working.

Call me a masochist but I'd rather be edge of my seat in a 4-3 win or lose than a 1-0 or worse 0-0 with twenty posts....

And yes I always expect improvements no matter how small each game to the next..in many players I'm seeing it.

Now there's a question - can a fool be simple minded or is simple mindedness an essential element of being a fool? For the unwary, please avoid the obvious mistakes of:

    1) confusing being a fool with foolishness

    2) even assuming that I hav an answer to this tautology!

    Comfortable lad?? Are you serious??

I was at both the Fulham and Swansea games and at NO point was I comfortable. As per usual I had a few too many beers pre-game and was bursting for a piss 15 minutes in.....but this season I daren't go anywhere or I'll have missed two goals by the time I get back to my seat <laugh> If it wasn't for the smoking ban I'd have gone through twenty biffters (by half time) on Saturday.....life ain't comfortable for me on matchday. Nor do I want it to be, why the hell would I want a comfortable existence as a footy fan? I love the rollercoaster games we're involved in and I came away as exilerated from that 4-3 as I did from the 5-1 or the 4-0 against the ****e. You want comfortable then spend your weekends watching Celtic instead.

I do feel winning those kinds of games is good enough to mount a challenge for the simple reason that winning games is the best way to mount a title challenge. We won....we're still in the race....I'm happy about that <ok>

  16. Even more important to win these games IMO. Beating someone comfortably and playing them off the park is one thing but you need to win the tough gritty games if you want to achieve something.

As for being happy with the team, I'm pretty sure Barcelona fans would have been complaining about their defence despite winning everything under the sun for three or more years. Fans are fickle and rarely happy.

    He asked for it.

I think we all get mad and yell during the game, that's part of getting caught up in the emotion of it all. I call our defence all the bad names going every time they faff about on the ball or pass it across their own box or Skrtel tries to swap shirts in the middle of the game.
However, afterwards, when I'm calmer and I look at the table, I'm just so pleased at how well we're doing overall.
We have to see this season out with the players we've got, and strengthen as soon as we can.
The proverbial blind man on the galloping horse can see where the problems lie, sorting them is a bit trickier, but if we get CL we should be able to attract a few more high quality players (and hopefully keep those we already have).

Spot on saint, pointless qualifying for the CL and not giving it our best shot to cement our place in it, if we get a top 4 finish FSG's commitment will be in the spotlight when needing to splash the cash on quality.

Cool, Billy. We just have different ways of thinking and feeling. For me and countless others the point of the armchair manager exercise is to reduce our 'joyous' sufferings and start winning games on the way to a trophy. How about to this year's BPL trophy, how does that sound to you? Good, I'm glad you like the idea. Now, let's not kid ourselves that we can trump Arse, Chav and City with performances like those against Swansea and Fulham.
