We got where we are because we were good enough over the last two seasons, WHY does that mean that we will struggle this season? Did you watch the England game on saturday? Why on earth sould we be afraid and struggle against the nations greatest on that showing? I am fed up with people writing negative things about our club, it seems as if you want us to fail!!! I went to a lot of games last season, it was the most exciting season I can remember for many many years, Leicester away, Derby at home and the Demolition Derbies just to mention a few. I want more, I ****ing love it, we can and probably will beat any of the teams outside the top 6, and will give the top 6 a good game. Lets be positive guys, it's nothing to be ashamed of. ILD OTBC
I sense you will actually do OK. I do think it's going to be a case of a 'season of two halves' to be honest. I expect you to make some good early progress, notch up some notable wins but, as the season unwinds other teams will take you more seriously and will have done their homework to find your vulnerabilities. The second half of the season will be a tougher ride but, I sense you will have made enough early progress with points in the bank to survive it. As one of your earlier posters said; "Its obvious what kind of team Lambert's building. It's a team of fighters... " It's that point more than anything else that will keep you up. On their day Scotland can beat Brazil. Not because of technical ability nor skill but, because of sheer bloody pride and determination. Those qualities will be needed in abundance, particularly in the second half of the season when the pressure is on, the treatment room is full, the Saturday afternoons are decidedly colder and the nerves are jangling!!! Whatever; enjoy every minute of it and you will be sure to have some great memories, irrespective of the end result. Blackpool are a good example from last season but, in the end they didnt quite do enough to capitalise on their early successes. But they had a fun time! Good Luck!
Thank you, Tim, nice to have encouraging words from our friendly rivals Just make sure you come up soon so that hostilities can be resumed
