Liverpool need to play 'perfect' match Former Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso, who won the Champions League with both Liverpool and Real Madrid, told AFP: "I think that to win, Liverpool will have to play an almost perfect match and will have to prepare everything in every detail, analysing all the strengths and weaknesses of Madrid and how to tackle them. "I don't think Madrid will change the way they play for Liverpool. I think they've had a very specific way of playing in recent years, and the players know how to orchestrate it very well. In fact, it's in the big games that they're the best, and I'm sure we'll see a great Real Madrid in the final."
It's funny hearing people say Real will hate having it up em, that's exactly what they'll want. Teams who defend well against Real generally do ok, such as Atletico, Juve and Spurs. The Ronaldo joking aside, these players like Modric, Kroos, Isco, Bale and Asensio will love having so much space. Putting my United head to one side, I think it could be a showcase of attacking brilliance but make no mistake that's where Madrid will be at their best.
I agree, Real will also like an open game. I don't know what they are like on the counter but we'll like that if they do pin us back.
Some ****ish name he reckoned came to him in a dream. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terence_Trent_D'Arby
And if they lose, you will be banging on about it all summer. For us neutrals, were ****ed either way...
IMHO tis WHERE they have to "have it up them" that causes them problems. Juventus are a classic Italian defence. Altetico defend well and have a hostile MF press. Spurs fall in between those extremes.
