the stench have gone into extra-time against MK Dons. Anyone hoping they actually win, to keep the chance alive of us meeting them in the next round and dishing out a hiding?
We didn't look comfortable in the first half and the more chances the feeling was York could and perhaps have equalised and deservedly so but once the 2nd went in that was it , some very sloppy play in the first half which was addressed in the second half .Their keeper had an excellent game with some seemingly incredible saves of which one deserved and received a large round of applause .Potential slip up avoided on and onto the next round
I thought Eder worked hard and with a bit more luck could have had a couple of goals. Nordvelt looked ok when he came under a bit of pressure in the first half virtually a spectator in the second half. Grimes lacked urgency, on one occasion when we were attacking just casually walked forward from the centre circle. The whole team, apart from one or two, appeared to be playing at half pace. Tabanou must have thought he had BO because when he had acres of space on the left the team ignored him and kept switching play to the right.
Yes tabanou was being ignored at times when in space,,but he did look very impressive, when he was on the ball,I thought grimes grew into the game in the second half, after a poor first period, nord felt did all that was asked of him.also it was nice to see termmel in the warm up..not a bad 3rd choice eye!
I thought Jonjo looked very impressive in his cameo role. As soon as he came on the pitch he took the game by the scruff of the neck and created a lot of chances with his incisive passing, including the last goal, if memory serves.
Great across field pass to Emnes for the 3rd , I can understand why the substitution with Ki but a risk I thought with Sundays game , although it wasn't a dirty game and York did try to play football in fairness so I've probably answered my own query
It may have been a stroll in the park but the listeners of Radio Wales never knew it. The commentary was dreadful and made it almost impossible to follow the game. they might as well have just shut up and let us listen to the crowd because that's the only way we could work out which team had the ball and where they were on the pitch. Good result and apparently a stroll in the park but don't have a clue as to how we played, who played well, who looked good, etc etc Hull away next month, should be interesting. The Tigers aren't happy with their team at all, http://www.not606.com/threads/hull-city-v-rochdale.309185/
