We discussed that years ago. How we would a large vociferous following like Sunderland if we ever had any success. Sadly that didn't turn out to be the case. Though support is more subdued everywhere nowadays,

You’ve just described something that long standing go-every-week fans do at matches, and attributed to newer fans. Your just making it up now.

Didn't Cov take about 15k to OT for a league cup game, then had about 10k at home the next game.
Game was a bit crap if memory serves me right...It ended 1-1. Spurs brought about 100 in the north stand, Leeds not many more. Billy Bremner, I think, scored a decent goal for Leeds smacking one passed Pat Jennings from 20 yards.

Big Pat taking a bung? if his John Thomas was as big as his hands, he'd have been hung like a donkey.

Cheers for that; if pushed I'd have said 'draw' but that would have been it - I went along with the usual mates but zero interest in it really, as Barca says, it was good cheering on any Leeds opponent and seeing Hull Whites scowling <laugh>

Probably about 200 Spuds. A number of them stood with us in East Stand.
Leeds had a fair few there. Bolstered by those despicable inadequates, Hull Whites and East Yorkshire Whites.

I didn't attribute It to newer fans. Though I would bet a lot of them never went in pre KC days and therefore never experienced standing up at games. It is surprising how many relatively younger fans insist on remaining seated.

I'm not saying it's the principal reason, just that it might also be a factor. The overriding reason is undoubtedly the dire state of affairs off the pitch thanks to the spunktrumpets in charge of the club.

Spoke to one of the 'Hull Whites' only last week about this very match, he couldn't remember the game although admitting to being in his late 50's now. Hull born and bred in East Hull lived on Bransholme, now wearing a HKR manager's coat. He thought Billy Bremner was the greatest Hull City player ever.

I remember a pissed up Hull White who used to go to City as well coming in East Stand with some Leeds fans calling City ****e and coming the tough guy. George Slater told him to think on that tomorrow he would be sober and walking round Hull without the Leeds lads with him for protection.

I played 5-a-side at Costello with a lad who was a big Leeds fans. Been to every home game for about 20 years. No problem... Always wore a 'These colours don't run' Leeds t-shirt. Not a bad footballer if the truth be told. Cocky bastard he was.

46K at the Stadium of Light Red Seats today.

That's 14K up on the previous best this season.

Obviously no sales going on up there today.

Maybe more interested fans. Our famous Boxing Day crowd for a Third Division match was 24,000 more than the previous home game and 20,000 more than the previous highest.
