After all the ups and downs of the season and the general lack of spring sunshine my holiday is fast approaching and trust me i am ready for it .My family and myself are off to Menorca in July and have just paid the balance ouch .I cant wait to splash about in the Med swim in our villa pool early morning and those long warm nights enjoying a meal and a few drinks with loved ones whilst watching the the old sun setting on the horizon. Just wondered where and if you are going on your vacation and what your idea of a good one is.

Myself and the wife are off to Tunisa 6th Aug for 2 weeks,5 star hotel,we go to Tunisa at least once a year because it is value for money and we are off to Lansagrotte in October with the inlaws for a week..but for now we are stuck here in th rain and cloud.

Just back from Malta...lovely Mediterranean island where you can get a good cup of tea...what's not to like! Great weather with a sea breeze to cool it down whilst exploring. Long promenade at Sliema where we staggered from cafe to cafe...tea here, wine there. Very restful (which I needed after our season). Off to Lisbon in July, where I've been a couple of times before...hotter and more climbing involved.

Will be the trip of a lifetime - but I'll miss the start of the new season! 
Just got back from 2 weeks in Egypt,booked it when i was confident we were going straight up,and had a few nervous moments during the run in,but thankfully we made it.Would have been gutted if we had dropped into play offs,as i would have missed them,but booked the holiday so that we flew back into UK on Saturday morning, and was going to leave my details with my mate so that he could get me a final ticket,just in case.

This year cheap holiday as moved house last November and now have world's biggest mortgage (feels like it anyway), so Tesco vouchers for the ferry crossing to Ireland and then staying with wife's cousins for ten days.

Near the very bottom of the boot, nearish the coast. The name has slipped my mind but its not a major city/tourist spot.
In 6 months or so I'll hopefully be started Royal Marine training so making the most of my last long summer break in Portugal, France, Florida, amstadam and Magaluf! Buzzing for it!
A few years ago we travelled down the country starting at Venice and ending up in Sorrento. It's a beautiful country with great sight-seeing in every town and city. The Amalfi Way is one of the best ocean drives I've ever seen but although down south may be too far away from where you are staying unfortunately. I loved the country, hope you have as good a holiday as we did. (The Italian drivers are a nightmare though).
Good luck with that mate. I attempted RMR training 2 years back but had to leave at the end of Phase 1 due to severe shoulder injury.
