Only gossip at this point I know, but what of the Mirror reports coming out?: Daily Mirror QPR defender Luke Young is set to join Readingâs Russian revolution after just a year at Loftus Road. The former England full-back, who was signed by Neil Warnock last summer, has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of new boss Mark Hughes. The former Tottenham and Charlton stopper, who is on £30,000 a week, made 23 league appearances last season. Young, 32, will become Brian McDermottâs fourth summer signing with Garath McCleary, Pavel Pogrebnyak and Danny Guthrie having all joined newly-promoted Reading. Opinions ... ?
From what I saw of him last season, I accept it wasn't often, he was pretty useful going forward out wide but lacked something in defending, not especially good for a player that is a right back! Could be more useful as a wide midfield player perhaps
Very good player. I don't know why Hughes has frozen him out. Very good at getting forward and not too bad at defending either. I hope we keep him.
