I'm more confident now against Chelsea than ever before. I think we are not so gungho and our defence has tightened up. Out of the two we are the inform team and Wenger is long overdue a result against Maureen.
we all know what to expect from Chelsea. A great defensive set up and ready to hit us on the break or set pieces. The only way we can beat them is to create a high level of intensity in midfield so we counter their counter attack. Cesc needs very little time on the ball so it's important we stamp our authority in that part of the pitch. (huge game/test for Coquelin) as laz said Wenger is due a win against the bus driver.
Hope so, but we were super 'gungho' yesterday. If we give Chelsea half the openings we gave Reading we will get spanked. We need a performance like the Man City one to get something out of this game.
I didn't think we were gungho until we let in the first goal. Defensively we were ok apart from Gibbs who was making errors and Debuchy was lacking match fitness. I think we were also a little surprised by Readings intensity and probably should have closed down better. But credit to Reading for doing that. I don't think Chelsea will do any of that and will revert to Maureen type, sit back and wait for openings. Mistakes aside, we have a good chance of winning this game, more so than Chelsea in my opinion.
We need to beat Chelski to send a message, not for the title race, but for next season, that we are, and the real deal, that will make Mo stand up and notice, should we lose, well then the doubts will remain.
Well we are off to Wembley, and just need to ensure Agent Sherwood helps us on the way to winning another cup! It was a good weekend, even if there was a lot of 'squeaky bum' time...
