9 would be fine…let’s try to extend the unbeaten run.

A short break since our latest win on the road to Blackpool, Dean Smith has reported no fresh injury concerns from Saturdays game. Gibbs managed the last 20mins of that game and looked much more assured in midfield, could we see him brought straight back in? Cantwell should be back but DS may not want to risk him unless completely fit with so many games this month. This one comes too soon for Gianoulis and Hayden but both are now back running and will hopefully join training soon.
We didn’t see a complete performance against Blackpool but I felt we saw a more cohesive attacking performance, let’s hope we can build on that. Sargent had a better game on the right but I would still favour him up front and Sinani on the right.
Paul Ince’s Reading are just behind us in the table in 3rd and a win could extend the gap to 3rd position to 5points. Reading have won their last 2 games against Wigan and Huddersfield but before that lost 3-0 to Sunderland.

Positive vibes!!!

ON THE BALL CITY!!!

Nice shirts

Interesting - more defensive, presumably with a view to hitting them on the break? A bit odd if so, though, as Hernandez is probably our most powerful counterattacking player at the moment. Maybe the idea is to rope-a-dope it to half time and then try to change the game in the second half with substitutes.

Here’s to again hoping that SuffolkCanary has repetitive strain injury in his wrists* by the end of the season.

*from typing match day threads, not that, you dirty-minded man Dunc

Gibbs brings a calmness to the team being naturally good with both feet helps

Presumably more 4-3-3 than 4-2-3-1. I'm sure pre-season the talk was around a 3 CM formation becoming the norm. Hopefully it gives us some control of the game, and Nunez will be freed up a bit to get forward and create from deeper areas.

Would imagine we'll see Sara on for Kenny if we need a goal, definitely the type of midfield setup that Smith was expected to play in the summer.

Aaron’s needs help with Carroll, they’re targeting that area. Quite often we are allowing Carroll to take the knock down but not close enough to the players that could receive it to win the second balls
