Reading's Danny Williams returns from suspension

Danny Williams returns from suspension after his sending off in the 5-0 reverse at Fulham and he is expected to come straight back into the match day squad.

John Swift could also return after an ankle injury he suffered in traing while on international duty last month.

The Royals are currently third in the Sky Bet Championship table and are looking to win their seventh game in the last nine matches against the Canaries. Last time out they beat Blackburn Rovers 3-2.

Under-fire City boss Alex Neil is expected to make changes once again as he tries to turn around his side's fortunes.

While Reading are looking for that seventh win in nine, the Canaries have lost seven of their last nine to leave them languishing10th in the table and four points adrift of a play-off spot.

Matt Jarvis could make a surprise return for the Canaries

Alex Neil may well start with midfielders Steven Naismith and Alex Tettey, winger Matt Jarvis, who has yet to make a first-team appearance this season following a knee injury, could make the bench after three recent outings for the Under-23s.

Apologies for a shorter than usual offering today guys, hastily put together lastminute.com :emoticon-0105-wink:

Good to see your MTD KIO and hope you'd a good Xmas after the year you've had.
Interesting starting 11 and I wonder if we'll see AP at some point??? If we're losing at around the hour mark, I hope he might consider bringing CJ on and also leaving Basil on as well.

Hi mate, at least we have the consolation that AN will probably get his marching orders if we suffer another heavy defeat ............................ or do we :emoticon-0120-doh:

ALL I wanted for Xmas ......... but Santa kept hold of his sack!!! Drat, I was hoping someone else might get it!! <laugh>

Just listened to the match preview on 5 Live and the commentator started by saying he would have expected Norwich to be where Reading are and vice versa. Reading have won 7 of their last 9 ....... <doh>

****ing typical, Reading literally haven't had a kick yet go in front. We just can't make the most of the possession we have <doh>

I'd been expecting that to happen and we HAVE to improve our defence in the January window.
