Odd 2nd half. We had chances to score seven but seemed also hell bent on giving them a consolation. Ref did us a favour with the Ayling foul. EFL going to remove him from the list for the weekend
Couldn't ask more than that. A win, a clean sheet and plus 3 goals and 1 more than Shuffield. Shame Brentford couldn't have put up more of a fight. Saturday is going to be such a big game.
Should've had 5 or 6 goals there, but we took our foot off gas, complacency did sneak in as we lost our passing rhythm and enthusiasm to score more goals. Bamford needs to add more pace and lest haste, even when he runs he's too calm for me. A couple of players pushing the line with ref in this game. Another game of 2 halves. Great win, and much needed, but complacency may well be our downfall if it continues to be a habit. Sheff U will take full advantage of our complacency if it sneaks in on Saturday, but, got a funny feeling it's going to a great game, a battle, and a war.
Think we might have taken a breather for Saturday with job done and still could have scored 5, Bamford missed three good chances, and Pablo two for his hat trick but agree the defence got a little cocky at times.
Some lovely build up play, though like the wba game, less shots that our seasonal average.... Some days they go in. Sloppy at the back, today, better side than them takes advantage. But gotta be happy with 3-0 anytime.
