I had the discussion with a mate the other day. I think it comes down to good timing (for Honeyman). He's got the will, does his best etc....but I'm in serious doubt that he'd be a professional baller if he'd come through when Sunderland were doing decent in Premier League.
Tbf .. with the injuries we have and the team we have got out there that wasnt as bad as I feared .. Reading are poor and I think we shaded it .. but other then Maddison (he does remind me of a poor man's version of Snodgrass tbh) we are lacking quality. This game is definitely there for the taking, and let's not forget we are a second half team !
I'm not gonna be all negative. Maddison's clearly got some talent! Gotta feeling he might be a bit, "bollkåt" tho Swedish expression for players that are a bit selfish Direct translation: Horny on the ball
Reading are no Brentford, but we look much better organised this week. Still some rank bad passing and very little by way of inspiration though. Maddison looking promising. McLoughlin looking solid. Irvine, Eaves and Da Silva need to step up. Honeyman needs to step down.
Have some ****ING COMPOSURE! We need to stop hitting the panic button in midfield, we can't keep the ball for more than two passes.
