nobody said he would drop him in the immediate future … both had/ have to prove their worth James has a chance great he is taking it.....
Riding our bloody luck now.....not sure why we are letting them control the game, totally lost our shape and composure
Watching the news feed on the BBC website, it looks like we had to weather some storm after we went 3-1 up? Good for the confidence that they saw this through.
We actually looked quite good going forward, was a bit touch and go at the back, but just done enough I think for the 3 points
Incredible what happens when a player is actually played in his best position, he was terrific tonight MOM and was the catalyst for everything that was good in an attacking sense for us. Several seasons ago at the start of a season Diedhiou was injured and Weimann played up top and was on fire scoring goals, Diedhiou regained fitness and was immediately returned back into the team, Weimann was pushed out wide and eventually more like a wide right midfielder and the goals dried up for the whole team. Tonight proved as if ever it was or ever should have been in doubt, Weimann is at his best as a striker, he ain't a midfielder and will never be a midfielder.
Couldn't really fault any of our players tonight, think Bentley could have done better with their 2nd. Players stood out for me, Weimann, James, Scott, Kalas...and for his debut Pring didn't look out of place....Massengo was like a wasp when he came on.. Sitting back doesn't suit us IMO, we do so much better when we close down quickly. Was a good performance, not sure Reading were all that if I'm honest..we will have tougher tests,,
First time I've seen Pring - very impressed. Helped in front of DaSilva defending, strong runner, good in the air for the assist and appeared from nowhere to get in the box when we scored the 3rd. Great engine. Only 65 minutes but like what I saw. Can't fault our effort tonight. Great win, we needed that performance and result tonight.
One swallow does not make a Summer ..... but we needed that so badly!! Holding on to a one goal lead also important
