So, are you going to tonight? Yep, going to sit in the East Stand for a change.

Will there be a decent crowd? 5,500 to 6,000.

Any predictions on the score? 2-1 to us, after extra time. Green and BWP.

Thoughts on the line-up? Green, Pritchard and Euell to start. Waggy, Stephens and Hayes on the bench.

COYR!

I will be at The Valley tonight, hopefully we can bounce back after a very frustrating 3 days of reliving throwing away 3 points.

I expect both sides to field weakened teams, but hopefully Green and Bover will get their chances to impress and Hamer between the sticks.

West and North Uppers are shut as well as both corners so I don't think the club are expecting a big crowd, if we could get about 7k that would be excellent.

We'll run out 3-2 winners with a late goal from Mambo at a corner, queue Mambo number 5 at the full time whistle! :)

Hamer
Francis Doherty Mambo Evina

Green Bover Pritchard Harriott

Benson Euell

Hamer to start and I would expect 5 or 6 changes from the team that has started the last 3 games including Euell, Benno, Green and Hughes to come in but I wouldn't be surprised to see as many as 10 changes to refresh the squad and give everyone a chance (in a game that doesn't really effect CP's plans)

LOL. There are so many possible permutations, as we don't know what is in CP's mind or how fit are some members of the squad, that we are all forecasting wildly different lineups. Assuming Alonso, Hamer and Evina are still not quite 100%, and that Francis is still being given the cold shoulder despite some very good performances pre-season, I think the team will be.

Sullivan
Hill Taylor Morrison Wiggins
Green Hollands Pritchard Bover
Benson Euell

but out of all those the only cast-iron certainties to start are Green, Pritchard and Euell, because CP has more or less signalled his intentions with that trio, and I am sure he also wants to find a place for Hill somewhere.

I would like to see both Francis and Benson play because good performances would help them find other clubs and boost their transfer value. Yes, they would be "cup-tied" but I don't think that is an issue these days since the cups have lost their prestige.

Hamer
Hughes Mambo Doherty Evina
Green Pritchard Alonso Harriott
Bover
Benson

I hope that Alonso plays as it would good to see him in the flesh. If he doesn't play I'd drop Bover deeper and play Tuner or Popo alongside Benson.

Yeah i'll be going think ill sit in the north lower but depends on where my mates feel like sitting.

We never get big crowds for carling cup first round matches so ill go for around 5,000

Hope youngsters like Mambo Harriot and Popo are given a run out and Green and Hamer will probably start. I'd like to say we will win in 90mins but i can see penalties happening

Evening all. Just back from a lovely holiday in France, on the Dordogne with the family. Had a wonderful time. My first competitive game of the season tonight. Have obviously kept up with things whilst away and really pleased with our start. I expect to see a much changed first 11 tonight and can't wait to get back int he swing of things. A draw after 90 for me...

Wow - that's what I call bold team selection, no tinkering at the edges there - well done CP, now it's time for those chosen to show what they're made of.

That is one strong Reading side, let's hope the keeper doesn't have a repeat of his performance on that monsoon swept afternoon in Yeovil.

COYR!!

C'mon Warren / Davisson / Popo lets see you make your mark on Charlton if you make an appearance (especially Davisson who was only given a Contract until the end of 2011)
