Reading are chasing Cardiff City winger Peter Whittingham.
The Sun says Reading want Cardiff’s Whittingham to help them in the Prem.
Whittingham could leave for £3million if the Welsh side fail to win promotion.



I am not sure if there is any basis to this story, but £3million is a laugh!

I agree, he's not had his best season this year, but it would have to be a minimum of £5million. Don't see him going though.

Murdoch is very demanding when he recruits his new employees. He always states quite clearly in the adverts "Don't apply if you can't hack it".

Also, isn't he on a contract until 2016 as well? £5m might do it but not a paltry £3m - if they want a central mid fielder that is.
