One things for sure UEFA and FIFA just pay lip service to this subject - they make the right noises, but offenders just get a very small fine.
If our players get abused we should take them off the pitch.
Sorry but this is 2012 not 1972
UEFA need to start docking points from offenders

Anyway anyone watch that documentary panorama Stadium of hate on BBC 1

I did watch it and found it disturbing the chants.the salutes and the banners and the worse thing the police let it go on yes they did go in to brake it up and arrest a few thugs. Then that spokesman that said that there is no racism problem there as he was talking he could not look in to the camera nor the interviewer. I agree with the players family and Cambell that we should stay home and watch it on tv because i can only see 1 outcome from this and it is not a good 1

you can mark my words there are going to be big problems over there

UEFA AND THE RACIST AND FASCIST F...S SHOULD HANG THEIR HEAD IN SHAME

Unbelievable. I cant believe the tournament is being held there. Those sorts of people need to be put down. I bet they wouldn't be so brave if it was 1v1, that pisses me off.

Eastern Europe has an entrenched problem with racism. Until they clean up their act they shouldn't be allowed to host major tournaments and perhaps banned from competition altogether. Beggars belief that the Euro's are being held in the Ukraine & Poland and of course the World Cup in Russia. UEFA's response to racist incidents is to fine the national football associations in question. To me the kind of scenes witnessed are no better than the hooligan problems we had in this country in the 70's and 80's.

Until domestic teams and International teams are kicked out of competitions due to racism on and off the pitch it will still become a major issue. UEFA need to wind their necks in and do something about these issue soon or it could escalate into something far worse.

I don't think any action should be taken, the players are responsible and mature enough to know what to expect, they should just ignore it, Racism is part and parcel of the eastern european game.

So you're saying it should be just accepted? Its clear that you don't find racism as sickening as most of the other replies on this board..and then to have the gall to support a team with so many black/north african players...hypocrite.

How would you react, for example, if one or more of our black players were subject to such hateful racist abuse that Roy Hodgeson called the England players from the pitch and refused to continue the game?

Unfortunately in this scenario I would expect England to be banned from a couple of tournaments. UEFA will side with their chosen hosts for anything short of a complete disaster. Whereas disrupting the tournament by not playing would have major consequeces. The Togo team was banned from two Cup of Nations tournaments because they withdrew after their team bus was attacked with three people killed. This was, of course, CAF and not UEFA, but FIFA did nothing about it and I would expect UEFA to act in a similar self-protective way.

Was referring to YV, anyway.

You quoted SB, so you clearly weren't.

havent seen you on the Double winners board for months, PNP.
Wonder why? <whistle>

Because it's full of tedious, baiting drivel about Spurs and nothing of interest about Chelsea.
You've even resorted to coming on here to try to talk about us.

The only decent contributors from there still post pretty regularly on our board, so why would I resort to drinking from the gutter?
