i suspect your results v crewe and barnet may be seminal moments in buckles career, he and you will need 4 points to begin to turn the tanker around, at least he can direct the squad to some of the high points of their season. buckle just needs these high points replicating. matty h is the man to lead you back up the league, and most can beat crewe at home.

I don't think there's too much wrong with the back four. The rest of the team need to defend better - the forwards and the midfield have let too many deep runs get through, which you can't blame the back four for.

We have definitely missed Gill. Stanley often looks a yard or two off the pace. I think a decent box to box midfielder would make a big difference. I thought Campbell was well past his best, so I'm not sorry to see him go.

    you are right gastro.

i have said numerous times that...

our strikers dont defend from the front
    midfield dont support attack
    midfield dont support defence
    defence left open for attack
    defence confidence down
    bevan easy target.

I don't think there is too much wrong with the whole team - confidence and leadership comes from the top - I bet if we had a decent manager in charge with decent man management skills then this bunch of players could perform at a higher level (play off places - not 1st div!), with more consistancy and belief. That of course goes for all the back room staff - I ain't sure about North! If they showed a united front and everybody sang from the same hymn sheet then most of these discussions on here about PB would not be taking place!

It is 100% down to the manager.

Look at Norwich - pretty average Championship-standard squad led and organised by a brilliant manager. Now comfortably mid-table in the Premier League.

On paper, we have a squad (except bloody Zebrowski and Stanley) easily capable of challenging at the top of this lowly division. Yet they are not organised, led or motivated to the standard expected. That's down to bad management and why Buckle should go, regardless of what happens over the next two games.

At the beginning of the season I thought that we might do ok and that Swindon would implode under the neo-facist loon Di Canio. However, the exact opposite has happened.

Get that bastard out of my club now!!!!!!
