Absolutely Love Rafa, absolutely hate Chelsea........Dont want Rafa doing to their youth set up what he has done to ours....
Would Rafa go to Chelsea we all know he would love the chance to manage us again one day. Would we accept him back if he had managed Chelsea?
I wouldn't blame him for going to Chelsea, it's a club with top players and it's a good opportunity for any manager, if you keep Roman happy of course
Rafa may see it as an opportunity (if short term) to show our owners what they missed out on in the summer...
Utterly ridiculous. He delivered the CL & the FA 6 months ago, is only 4 points off the pace in the league & yet due to failing to get out of a tough CL group he's been sacked. I've often looked at Chelsea with envy in terms of their spending power & recent trophy haul, but their club is merely a Billionaires play thing & is a joke when it comes to hiring & firing managers. I'm glad my club doesn't operate on that level, you can keep the cash.
Blimey,-I agree totally with this. Every time I read people saying how we need to spend X millions to compete with Chelsea ( and now City), I think of the price you have to pay for that cash. Yes, his money has b(r)ought trophies, but who wants to be run like that?
Little fact for you: Chelsea have spent £86m since 2004 in compensation for managers...more than Everton's entire net spend since the Premier League began
Tough call for Rafa, top manager that deserves a good club so wouldn't begrudge him taking the pieces of silver even if its just to get his name back in the front of chairmans thinking. Would he take it short term, I am guessing not, unless there are conditions attached that if he achieves A,B&C etc he gets the post full time. Not sure were Guardiola is with his tomato plants at the moment but would he want it, comparisons with Jose etc. Could Rafa get Torres firing again and will anyone be sliding away from our setup, interesting times
I see some similarity here with the sacking of Dalglish. RDM was never the owners choice - he had to give him the job once they somehow won the European cup. Similarly Dalglish was appointed after he dug us out of the Hodge. Big difference is Chelsea have form here of course they have had more managers than I've had bacon butties (and I'm a man who loves his bacon butties) I think Pep is a shoe in.
They, or should i say Abro, didnt want Di Matteo from the start. Why wasnt he awarded the managers job straight away after the Champs win...? This, from what were lead to believe, was the Holy Grail for Abro and the prize he wanted the most... Is it the super fluid style of Barca he wants now...? Is he trying to prove he was right in paying £50m for Torres only for the lad to fall way way short of what we ever saw at our club...? Is he just trying to justify his constant sackings by saying that we keep winning things so whats your problem...? Abro will do as he pleases and continue to throw vast amounts of money away in compensation to the managers he finds useless... In Abro he tursts, as no other idiot trusts him...
Now this I do agree with Shame your bitterness taints everything you post about Liverpool (Football Club ) After all the years of Roman striving to win the Champions League...he then goes and sacks the guy who did exactly what all the others couldn't. Its truly bizarre especially given the fact that RDM is a guy with Chelsea in his heart and not just his wage packet. I really do hope Rafa doesn't take it but good luck to him if he does (did I really just say that).
Last year after CL when I got banned from the chav board, I said he wouldn't make it till Christmas. Not that it took any great foresight into the matter. The guy just cannot understand tactics of that level. He's got by on the quality of players and the system in place before he came. I'd said when it all comes down to him and his choices it will fall flat. They have steadily gotten worse as the honeymoon period ended. Drogba was the only reason RDM was in the job at the start of the league as Drobga is really the only reason they managed to scrape the CL. Love it when a plan comes together, couldn't have happened to nicer fans, I hope they get Woy
As Has been said bizarre. But he was never Abramovichs choice. He merely waited for the excuse. If it is Rafa I only hope the deal wasn't in place before the sacking of RDM because that lacks class & honour which is the way I view our Rafa. Wouldn't want that tainted.
I'm starting to get very annoyed with you! Why are you now adding (Football Club) every time you write Liverpool? Let me remind you that this is still the Liverpool board of Not606.com. Therefore the extra descriptor is not required. It also shows disrespect to the famous saying of the great Bill Shankly "There are only 2 football teams in Liverpool - Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves"
