RDM was second choice in the summer. He went all out to get Guardiola, expected it, but it didn't happen. Roman had to give it to RDM as he won the Champions League. The fact he only gave him a 2 year deal and it took so long to appoint shows that he wasn't the ideal choice. This is just an excuse to get rid of somebody he had to appoint, despite not really wanting to.
RDM's main problem was he's too nice. You've gotta be a bit more, arrogant and ruthless to work for Roman, which is why at the time Mourinho did so well.
If it is true however that RDM had nothing to do with the transfer dealings in the summer then what exactly could he have done? I don't really understand....although if this is true it shows Roman doesn't actually know anything about football and should concentrate on the other side of things.
As for who do we get now, i guess ideally he wants Guardiola, but that's not not going to happen right now. If it's a choice between Pep & Jose at the end of the season, i'd certainly want Jose.
I think for now it'll be Rafa or Redknapp, both of which i absolutely despise. Who's Hiddink with these days?
Anyway, ridiculous decision. He does so much for us, wins 2 trophies, one completely against all the odds and then we treat him like this. Absolutely shocking.
Roberto, you are a legend, you deserve better.
