Despite the reasonable concerns over his character and attitude, I would rather like us to sign Morrison. He is capable of doing what Taarabt did for us 5 years ago.

I quite agree and despite his recent severe missteps this could be possible with some tough love from Chris & Les.

Like Taarabt, he has fantastic skills with potential that requires monitoring and controlling, both the physical & mental aspects.

Capability isn't in question, but attitude, application and temperament are all very suspect.

At this point we can do without the gamble - too many managers have tried and failed - as a club we just don't need the added pressure of a loose cannon.

We have enough problems already without another disruptive ego in the dressing room.

Now looking very likely indeed that [HASHTAG]#QPR[/HASHTAG] will sign Ravel Morrison.

We all know DM doesn't say things like this unless he knows it's happening. We all know what he's about, Adel Mrk II, but I do think he could learn from Sir Les and CR. I certainly think Les would hook him up against a wall if he steps out of line.

Could be a master stroke, or it could blow up in our faces. But if it's a freebie then it's a no brainer, cause just like Adel, he could make the difference.

I tend to agree with that, except why then not just have kept Adel - he's a lot better, and if a bit crazy, he's not a gangster! Maybe Adel is a permanent sick note now (shame), or maybe not. We will see at Benfica.

Morrison is very talented and wants to play for us. Sure, he is a somewhat dubious character, but I think this could be very good news.

I'd give the lad a chance. I think Sir Les and CR may well have enough to wind him up and release him in the right direction.

There was me all resigned to mid / low table obscurity and now.....!!!!

It looks like we're trying to go for the title again! I'm just not sure we really want promotion so soon, think it would be better to find our feet again as a club.

If he were "perfect" then he would not be joining us. Let's see if CR and Sir Les are able to untap his true potential.

At least we know who will be wearing our iconic No.10 shirt.

Fine by me!

Ravel on his day walks around defences like they are not there. Let's hope LF looks after him and we get a top player going again. (and get out of this s@@@e division)

I realise this guy's abilities on the pitch if he's in the right mood (which can be 50/50), but it's risky for CR and LF. With Morrison's record, there's every chance this signing, if it goes ahead, will blow up in their faces and could adversely impact the rest of the team. However, if Morrison's decided to grow up and wants to knuckle down, then it could be a decent signing.

High Risk for Chris and Les. If it goes ahead, their fragile, fledgling reputations in management could depend on how this works out.

He just needs to be careful who he chooses to be his friends. Maybe he is already doing that.

I was relieved when I saw this headline in one of the papers a couple of months ago.

"Morrison severs ties with Ant and Dec". Things will be a lot better now.

Lets hope Les slaps him around the face with a wet fish and tells him to grow up and get away from all that 'gangster stuff'.

Convictions for witness intimidation and criminal damage. Case for assault dropped when the victim (his girlfriend) declined to testify. No worse than Barton I suppose, but a bit more than a dubious character. Bottled out of a move to Italy to join a Championship club. On his day can be a great player to watch, perhaps this is his level.
