Cabaye was misplacing all his passes when he was on the pitch. Was unlike his usual self.

I found it amusing that when cabaye came off for the majority of the journey he was trash talking at Derry haha legend

Santon man of the match for me, excellent performance. 10/10

I thought Taylor played well in the centre (it was his assist wasn't it), I thought he passed it quite well, looked to get onto crosses into the box (which Cabaye/Guthrie/Tiote should do more often) and didn't make any mistakes after he was moved inside. 8/10

Shola gets a five for me, his hold up play was excellent but his movement in the box was awful. Him and Best should make an effort to get on the end of crosses, Nolan scored tons for us just by anticipating in the box, two Premier League centre forwards should be able to ****ing do this.

Apart from that I agree with Skalpel's ratings.

Could have been sent off, committed numerous yellow card offences imo.

    Sorry guys, i'm a ratings stinge at the best of times but I thought we were pretty poor today by our standards. I've not ignored the first twenty minutes for mine because IMO had we been playing a better team we could well have been 2-0 down by the end of that period. A poor side also made double figures in the chances department, so;

    Krul - 7 :
    Coloccini - 7
    Santon - 8 MOM
    Simpson - 6
    Williamson - 7
    R Taylor - 6
    Ben Arfa - 7
    Guthrie - 8
    Gutierrez - 7
    Best -7
    Ameobi - 4

<ok> Pretty much spot on for those who played the full 90. Only reason I omitted the start of the game is because I thought pretty much all of our players dramatically improved from then onwards and for the rest of the match.

Yeah they did get better and did everything they needed to get the win, but I still felt that we weren't really showing any cutting edge up front. Luckily we saved that performance for today because had we done it last week Man U would have ripped us apart.

Our start was baffling though. It was like all our players were running in treacle whilst the qpr players had rockets in their boots. Added to which none of ours guys could pass or control the ball. Just glad it was something we managed to sort out. <ok>

Yeah the start was crazy. We kept one touch passing it directly to them and then crawling after them instead of doing something about it. Reminded me a lot of the start of the Arsenal 4-4 game where they tore us apart for doing the same. As you say, thank god we were playing a wounded QPR and not somebody like Man United.

Shola was awful today had one or two moments but that didn't make up for the rest of his performance.

    Krul - 7 : Made some decent saves ...
Coloccini - 7 : Decent but looked a bit under par in the first 30 mins when QPR had a few decent chances. Fortunately he upped his game for the rest of the match
Santon - 8 : Was good both defensively and offensively. He was lethal cutting inside but lacked support at times. Needs to work on his crossing though...
Simpson - 7 : Decent performance, wasn't troubled at all. Did well getting forward and covering for the lack of a RW
Williamson - 8 : IMO he was solid as ever and even outplayed Colo ...
R Taylor - 7: Was poor in the first half on the right wing, but when Cabaye went off he did ever so well to drift in the middle and help in attack and defence. Got his 3rd(??) assist of the season too
Ben Arfa - 7 : Played some world class passes when he came on but at times he was just trying too hard to impress and consequently lost the ball.
Guthrie - 8.5 - Had a great game today and even if he was sitting back to cover the defence he still worked his socks to get forward and help in the build up play. One of his greatest performances this season ...
Jonas - 8.5 : Was tremendous throughout the game and I even had the impression that he was playing on both the left and the right wing. Was class both defensively and offensively
Best - 8 : Was decent throughout the game, and was doing well dropping off and even drifting on the LW. Exquisite touch for the goal and I feel he could score some important goals in Demba's absence
Shola- 6.5 : I think he did pretty well at times holding up the ball and working on his own but still lacks the class and work rate of Ba , to create that extra bit of space and get on the end of crosses

    Team rating : 7.5/10

Was a bit worried with our slow start and Cabaye's injury but ironically we played much better as a team when he went off and created a lot half-chances. Credit to Pardew for making the right subs. We have some tricky away fixtures at Fulham and Blackburn coming up but I'm confident after this great team display ...

Up until the goal, Best was the worst player on the pitch, bar none. He seemed to really gain confidence from a very good goal though and was excellent from then onwards. Ben Arfa was class every time he got the ball but that wasn't often enough. Jonas in the centre was superb, and Guthrie carried on from where he left off before his injury.
