The big difference is that MM is a bloody great manager who knows what he's doing and hasn't spunked away millions on a pile of garbage! <ok>

I just think he's being honest. We all know how stubborn he is. The thing which annoyed me more is that he generally picks a team that first and foremost stops the opposition playing rather than our best team

" Meanwhile, McCarthy made no apologies for not fielding an out and out winger such as Alex Henshall against the Cottagers.

“You know I don’t give a flying one who anybody wants to see in my team, don’t you?” he added. "

You know what, I'd rather man of the match Tabby didn't play and Henshall did for 90 minutes ............ We won the game FFS !!!!!!!!!!!

Mick knows what he's doing and has my full support.

man of the match Tabby?

Was the whole point of this thread to criticise team selection? NO!!!!!!
Was it to say MM's comments were childish? Yes!!!!!

So actually not quite sure what you are on about Westy!!

You dont think that mm saying 'The more the fans cry out for a player, the less chance there is of me playing him' is pathetic to say the least? Come on man, surely even you can see that is pathetic, why not say the fans have their opinions but i see the players in training etc and pick the team on that basis'

Spanish old mate I really don't see why your banging on about this it is totally unimportant in the grand scheme of things! Have another bottle of Rioja and chill out baby, life's too short! Mick is here to stay so you better get used to it.

Not the best thing he's ever said but I couldn't really give a toss.............We won and he he's doing a damn good job.

Hell after Keane and Jewell almost ruined us forever I couldn't really care of the few things Mick does wrong in some peoples eyes, more good than bad that's for sure.

:p

I can't fault MM for getting us to where we are now. He's a good manager but it's his ignorance and inability to take criticism stops him from progressing to be a great manager. Sometimes you have to admit that you're wrong and not just throw your teddy out of the pram. I used to think his comments were funny but now I just think he sounds like a t!t.

Unlike Roy Keane, Mick has earned a little leeway with the supporters due to the good work he's done at the club.

Ah yes, the dark lord who guffed millions down the toilet, said players " wouldn't move due to the area ", put players into the reserves, and couldn't win a game until quarter of the season had gone......

How I miss them days...........

Roy Keane's Ipswich............ please PLEASE come back Keano our saviour! He tried very hard to get us out of the division, he tried to get us into league 1.

I still maintain he has a vendetta against us from 94-95. Man Utd lost the league by 1 point,,,,,,,,, we beat them 3-2 at Portman Road with Keane getting sent off. Must be that!

He must've done, noone could have done that **** with what he had available to him

I honestly can only think of 1 plus point in his tenure here and that is that he got rid of Ben Thatcher
