Too literal and frankly you're being obtuse.
Like I said it wasn't a great analogy. The point was 'There's always likely to be someone better' and winning is likely to depend on them completely ****ing up rather than being excellent, ie a Leicester season.
True and I've already said soI would point out again that the 3rd best pointless total ever is still on. better than the record set by cheslea money in 2005.
thats excellent.
True and I've already said so
However if it wins us nothing... Nobody is really going to remember that in the long run, just that Man City won the title (probably).
The future is the bigger worry, even if we get better next season there is still City to contend with who are also going to get better.
Except last seasonMissing the point, I said I think we'll be better next year, but that still doesn't mean we'll win things. The fact we've played as well as we have this year and yet are still to end up 2nd and losing SF (potentially), can you imagine if we had played this well in any past season of the PL, we'd have won the title.
Next year the other top 6 will spend money (maybe not Spurs) and improve, whilst they probably wont be ready next season it'll make it a more difficult season. The big problem is City, who are only going to get better for the foreseeable future.
So.... we've played excellent this year and finishing 2nd is good, in isolation this is great from where we've come from in the last decade or so. However in coming seasons this could become a regular thing until we're no longer in a position to challenge.
As I said Great season, but with a little disappointment that we've been beaten on the line.

Too much of fan of that BBC1 programme I seeI would point out again that the 3rd best pointless total ever is still on. better than the record set by cheslea money in 2005.
that's excellent.

City walked it last year - this year we've taken them to the wire, whatever happens now. We can at least be proud of that (well Klopp and the players can, we didn't actually do anything).
My concern is that if no-one gets near them next season then the league will become a joke.
However, we can't be sure that everything will run smoothly for them next time around, after all they've gone downhill this time by at least 2 points.![]()
FFS man the season is not over yet. We've only got 2 matches to wait.so... every **** who voted all said good season.
2.****s who shall remain nameless said we should have won something.
fair enough.

Subtlety not your strong point mate?
It’s been a great season. It would have been a perfect season if we pick up a trophy.
But I won’t be downbeat if we miss out because what we’ve done is incredible. Even moreso when you consider where we were only 3-4 years ago.
Taking one of the best PL teams in history to the wire. And bear in mind that the same team are being investigated by all major footballing bodies for cheating.
