Just read that Tapsoba is on £40k pw and Silva of benfica is on £15k. Both were available for roughly the same fee as Livramento and Barnes.

Nope, just don’t get this window. I think giving it a 5 was generous.

    Transfers are weird. No doubt.

    Howe doesn’t take risks.

To get to the next level. We have to take risks.

Seems to me. We are in a pickle.

Since Howe has been in charge we have spent £40m on Guimaraes, similar on Botman, £60m+ on Isak, £50million+ on Tonali. That's pretty much half of our total spending on quality but PL unproven imports. Add to that the big money on Livramento and Hall, who both have limited experience and would have to be considered as quite risky transfers (though potentially very high reward). Not really lacking risk in the signings (though the Barnes transfer does have that flavour for me too). It's probably more something like extra weight being given to attributes such as character/attitude and physicality... As well as financial fair play budget limitations.

A pic I took of the Amazon documentary.

bar the right sides CB looks like they achieved their aim.

    that’s quite successful overall.

So as I feared they hold too many players in too high regard.

You can't exactly buy 25 world class players with 450 million these days.

I'm more concerned with the way the teams playing.
