Thought you meant BBC were actually reporting it then <doh> (must learn to read ALL of the statement!).

Yeah I saw the same link yesterday, newsnow had a link to tribal football (which is why I never posted a thread about it, tribals credibility is well... Let's not go into that lol) which was reporting it.

Don't know how credible Expressen is, don't know how good Elm is either, heard he's meant to be a decent set piece taker but bar that he's an unknown entity to me :)

Best wait for SSN or BBC to comment on it, I won't believe it until they release a story confirming it's true.

What I don't understand is, the midfield is an area filled with top quality talent, why bring in another player, whom I assume won't be first choice? Bit weird.

Too lazy to look it up but didn't someone on the thread yesterday have some good things to say about the guy? Sweet passer and good set pieces?
No doubt this will lead to "Spurs prepare for life after Modric" stories in the press.

Until it appears on the club's site this story is as believable as the "Zlatan Ibrahimovic coming to Spurs!" story - oh, hang on, that one was made up.

Fans love a "made up" story and none more then our own fans!

I think I'd wait to see if this particular Elm arrives from Holland, before counting our cobblers or whatever :)

Supposedly, we've beaten United to the lad's signature. If they were in for him, too, then he's got to have something about him.

I think it's pretty nailed-on that we've signed him. That being the case, I rather suspect that the club is resigned to losing Moddy in the Summer, since Elm will only play if Moddy doesn't. The fee being quoted as having been paid is £6.5 million, so that if we got £40 million+ for Moddy, we've have more than enough cash left to buy a decent striker.

That was me, but adjectives the other way round <ok>

I want to laugh, Pat. I really do.

But I simply cannot. Sorry.

From what a quick Google search says, he can play down the left, in central midfield, or fill in up front - not dissimilar to Junior Hoilett, but cheaper and more experienced. If he can provide cover for Modric, VDV and Bale, that's good news, and I guess we'll be getting the £6m by offloading Bentley and GDS.

Mainly he's adept at set pieces, which is something we've needed for some time.
