He looks alright, but I'd much prefer we aimed for Banega/Ramirez and Sissoko.

I believe Ramirez is a winger therefore different to Elm so I can't see why Kenny wouldn't want both of them.

But I agree - I rather have Banega or Sissoko. Having said that, Sissoko is a different type of CM all together, who relies on his physique, pace, strength. He is a real powerhouse who will give us more energy in the midfield. Whereas Elm/Banega are more composed and more technical.

Afaik, Ramirez is very much a central player who sits in the pocket behind the forward. A more advanced player compared to Banega. A trio of Banega/Sissoko/Lucas really ticks most boxes for me, strength, skill, energy, pace...would be a really strong choice. Elm doesn't offer as much as any of those three, but if we get him, I guess we'll see what he offers

I heard Ramirez can play anywhere along the line, so I assumed he would be utilised as a winger? Either way, it's good to players are versatile.

If we could bring in Sissoko and Banega, then I would be extremely happy and I'd be a lot more confident of our midfield. I don't really know too much about Elm apart from he's a good at set pieces and has a good range of passing which is the type of player we need.

People will argue that we don't need anymore CM's but I disagree. Gerrard shouldn't be playing so deep as he has no discpline and doesn't press quick enough (if only he did, just like he did for the 1st goal against Norwich!). Shelvey and Henderson are still youngsters and should be rotated without having too much pressure on them, Spearing simply isn't good enough and Adam is a good back up.

The trio of Lucas, Banega and Sissoko (on paper) could rival Gerrard, Mascherano and Alonso - bold statement I know!

Only thing I disagree with is your thoughts on Spearing :emoticon-0106-cryin

I genuinely believe he's a more than capable understudy for Lucas. He's made just as many mistakes as Enrique/Johnson and the poor lad spent half the season trying to carry all of Adam's ****ups - not easy for a young defensive mid trying to learn his role. He's not going to be a world beater, but he's a good enough squad member to be here for the next 5 years and is massively underrated, as are most people who play in that position until they get to a stage where they're then massively overrated (like Makelele).

    Haha I thought you might!

I think we will agree that he's not as good as Lucas. However, the number of times that our defence has been left exposed by a lazy midfield is ridiculously high. When Lucas was playing, he would sniff out the danger and provide protection.

Since Spearing came in, the opposition have more space and time to get in behind our midfield, and attack our defence. Of course, Spearing isn't helped with the likes of Gerrard and Adam next to him who can be lazy but it's still his job and responsibility.

Whilst he will provide energy, determination and passion, his lack of intelligence will hinder him. I feel Spearing is good back up for Lucas if Lucas is out for a game or two. But not for a prolonged period of time.

We saw how vulnerable we are to when Agger is out injured and the same applies to Lucas.

    Oh dear...

In other news, Kagawa has declined to sign a new contract at Dortmund - I'd take him over Elm as well! Quality player, I hope he doesn't end up down the m62 -.-

Very good, another AM though so take your pick on the direction we will go with that. I think Ramirez is , if not for sure, def tabling a bid so he seems our number 1 target. Kagawa would also have the windfall of shirt sales and all that jazz in Japan and asia. Pay for himself really.

Judging by the 3rd clip of hitting the bar, he'd fit in very well with the rest of the team!

Oops, just noticed the joke had already been made! Serves me right for only reading the 1st page before posting!<doh>

Welcome Super! It'll be interesting to see if these stories develop. Agents of players playing in Euro's must wonder which way to gamble. Get a deal done now, quickly. Or wait to see if your player has a blinder and adds a couple of mill to the price tag.

This guy looks a good on you tube lol, would be great (if we buy him ) if he does all that regularly!

Has a great shot shot on him though, some of our players should take a LEAF out of his book.

I can't take any more of these puns...

Lets just agree, he's not amazing, but he's better than some of the deadwood in our current squad.

Hopefully he's got the right attitude and his feet are firmly planted on the ground. He's looks as solid as an oak from what I've seen of him.
