I put rush near the top
But still people think I need my head seeing too

the op clearly states no right or wrong
I think Kuyt offered a LOT
Salah is still part of a three pronged attack that works well as a unit
You think of the times where Salah has played in a two or without those boys near him

Kuyt could have played with ANY of those forwards and been successful

Salah could not and we know this
When we had SSS it was the same
Rush was deadly and defended like a demon
    Awesome awesome player imho
And I rate very highly what Kuyt offered our squad as an attacker jao:)
Just cause you say it’s so does not mean you are right @sadiosalah :emoticon-0182-poolp
We all have opinions and it’s defo not my list of favourites
    I liked Crouch and Heskey

I didn't see Rush in his prime but I saw enough to know he was quality. However, no one comes near to 'that' season by Suarez.

Sorry but think you’ll find it hard to find anyone that thinks Salah is a better all round player than suarez.

the guy was 3rd best player in the world for about 4 years.

It does say Prem only so would be nearer the middle than top in that regard but he was just before my time so couldn’t really comment on him.

think if it’s all time then he’ll be up there with Kenny in top 5 no doubt.

You're right, and I did refer to that further down from the post you quoted. It's just hard to consider the question of top LFC strikers without Rush being one of the first to come to mind.
Of course if we're talking all-time we have others to bring in - Roger Hunt being another, and Billy Liddell (though he was before even my time. :)

Such a shame we didn't see more of Suarez than we did. Bit of a prick, of course - but a phenomenal footballer nonetheless.
Whenever he got the ball you'd have no idea what he was going to do with it. Great entertainment, which is what football is meant to be - for some of us at least.

But not for us. He was good but not that good. He clearly found his slot at barca and delivered the next level of what he started here.

31 league goals. Sorry what.. it's been done :) rush and salah did it but salah helped win us the title and the cl. In the end salah has only done it for 5 years and still one season makes suarez better.

    Pish taw I say! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Bit of a prick. He showed such disloyalty to a club and to fans who adored him. He engineered a move out through despicable behaviour. He maybe a good player but he’s left a sour taste at all his clubs. Barcelona couldn’t wait to get rid of him. And let’s not forget he was key in dragging the club through the mud with the racist incident with Evra. The reputation of Dalglish never recovered from that.

But @sadiosalah back in the Suarez days I was the one predicting 3-0 wins each week.

Yes, a bit of a prick.
Well, a lot of a prick tbh, the biting is of course unacceptable. But he's not a murderer or a rapist - as far as we know - he doesn't con old ladies out of their life savings or belong to a murderous regime that maims people for petty pilfering. He's certainly got some nasty traits and I'm not attempting to exonerate him from them, but to call him "the most disgusting human being in the premiership" is just a bit over the top.
I think you need to get a sense of proportion.
And, the thread was about who was the best player, not who did the best Mother Theresa impersonation.

Suarez falls into the owen category for me with that, both made it crystal clear that their objective for their careers lay abroad and despite that they still gave their all for the club, as i recall Suarez even stayed a season longer than he wished to. If anything it was our club imho that reneged on what i believe were verbal arrangements as they seemed logical (i realise i could be wrong)
They are totally different to someone like Steve McManaman who to me i would not give the time of day as he could have enabled us to have a huge transfer fee, however he made a decision - which he was perfectly entitled to do - that left the club i love worse off. Very similar to Wiji, with the only difference being macca was a local lad so to me his actions were worse.

for me Owen blew it the minute he signed for utd, again perfectly entitled to do it but for me it was a move which means he cannot be what he could have been in my mind

but at the end of the day i doubt any of them will be that arsed about what i think about them, nor do they have too lol

    sorry but no.

Suarez bit ivanovic. an opportunistic and cynical bid from arsenal then happened was not his real objective but he was still willing to court it.

we did not renege on a thing. Arsneal got the terms of this contract wrong as his agent told them a pack of rubbish.

Suarez only saving grace was indeed he worked like a dog everytime he took the pitch. the skill is one thing but he was never one to shirk with a knock and ran like a dog form minute 1 to minute 90.

He then racially abused evra and then went on to bite at the world cup.

the club bent over backward for him but in the end coincidentally he got the exact move he wanted.... and never bit again. suspect.

I also agree with you on mcmanaman. he shafted the club 100%

I don't agree on owned. he tried to shaft the club and was sold for a song. I agree thougha disgrace who then went off and signed for newcastle and then utd.

Same for torres. Wanted to go and left us in the lurch when he could have gone that summer and at least left us in the prem. For all he knew we could get relegated. complete ****.

Was still the best player in world for about 3 years and was the most entertaining player I’ve ever seen play for us. Ability wise, the way he can win a game on his own, guys all round footballing ability is better than anyone else
