The Preki thing appears to be that Preki is part of a group of Cali investors that are in purchase talks with an unknown club in England. He will take over managing that club. There is no word on our side who the mysterious club is or what stage they are in the purchase talks. This was confirmed yesterday by the owner of Sac Republic who said he promised not to discuss what club it is that the Cali group is looking to purchase.
I don't know how successful he'll be at Leicester - he did OK with lots of money to spend at Chelsea. However, he always came across as a really likeable bloke and I certainly wish him well.
I've heard it's Walsall, from a mate that supports the club. Says there's strong rumours that Americans are looking at buying his club; apparently Jeff Bonser, the bloke who owns it now, is a total tosspot, so he's over the moon.
PICTURE EXCLUSIVE Ranieri making the call to Leicester and declares 'I'm free!' please log in to view this image Just me that thinks he's morphing into John Inman?
He'll have a bit of time in him then. I'm afraid I don't know how successful he's been since he left England, I seem to think he'd flunked a few times. A bit of a risk, but certainly a different proposition to my old fave Nige.
I don’t think this is a very good appointment for LCFC. I think Pearson squeezed every last drop out of a squad that, on paper, was much worse than ours. Unless they’re going spend big big big to upgrade the team in all areas, I think they’ll be in trouble this season as I don’t peg Ranieri as a ‘bottom end of the Prem’ type manager. I think his style will confuse a team based on power, pressing and direct football. I doubt he’ll last the season although B’mouth and Watford will offer a lot of the lower Prem sides hope next season.
Them Italian blokes really have a way with the women. He only popped into the club shop to pick up some ties. Played Claudio my son.
You been ****ing around with the Claudio's wiki page? Claudio Ranieri (born 20 October 1951 inRome, Italy) is an Italian football manager and former player. Was about to post similar. No idea how he got on pre or post Chelsea, but these 'big club' managers seem to struggle at smaller clubs more often than not. Saying that, off the top of my head I can't think of any available managers that are smacking you in the face like Sherwood last summer. I think someone like Dyche could possibly have done a decent job although not convinced he's half as good as some like to make out. Paul Lambert maybe, despite having a disastrous time at Villa you don't just become a bad manager.
