Just thinking out loud here......

Only the baddies know who they are - but they know who all of them are.

That means they know who isn't.

Which makes me wonder that if suddenly people start piling on voting for the person with the highest votes then maybe those people know that they are getting rid of someone safe (to them) which makes them dangerous for us (the good guys).

Or maybe they are putting a safety buffer in between the highest votes and 2nd place who might be one of them...
