Anyone that uses a car when they don't need to is a spastic. I used to work (honestly) with 2 birds who left the same house every morning in different cars to go to the same place and work the same shift.

No that is like the 2 girls having two 60 inch TVs up on the wall watching the same programmes as opposed to using the one TV

I only ever get the bus when I'm in Glasgow and have missed the last train home. The Saturday Midnight Marvel to Motherwell is always entertaining!

Why? I'd take a train on a long journey for comfort but a 20 minute jaunt into town?

 

Bus is short for omnibus which was a tram and a kind of train,so not sure @monacoger to confirm

Buses are quite nice in London.

 

I think technically any vehicle that takes a lot of people is an omnibus. Also you can have an omnibus edition of a programme that would be all the episodes of the previous week. Or if you were talking about the omnibus of an author then I think that would be the whole collection of the author's work. @Ponders Revisited may be able to shine some light on the matter.

 

The clientele on buses in Malaga are very pleasant.

 

Apart from that bloke that pishes himself and shouts abuse about the Pope.

 

I should really get the bus into town instead of taxis but it never crosses my mind
