He had no idea of what was happening around him. He could have got to the ball no problem. He decided to let it trundle to the keeper and gave the Ross County player time to nip in and steal the ball. He fouled the player should've/could've been sent off for a last man foul.
It was only the ineptitude of Andrew Dallas, another Celtic supporting referee, that saved his embarrassment.
