No massive mythical tax burden no toxicity of brand Rangers, no Craig Whyte ownership, no wee tax case.

Why wouldn't newco get compensation for lost revenue by being in lower leagues and no European football etc? That has nothing to do with oldco.

No but he could go after HMRC for compensation on the 20 million quid worth of Rangers shares he had that their criminally inaccurate assessment made worthless.

 

The same reason Newco were made to pay fines for old Co's alleged transgressions I should think.

Nope it was definitely HMRC. They refused a CVA on the back of their own criminally inaccurate assessment.

 

Because if HMRC's fenian accountant didn't get simple maths wrong, then newco would have owned a football club in the top tier and playing European football.
