Just saw this on the Sportsday news feed thing on the BBC website pmsl

Kingstonian beat Leatherhead, managed by ex-Premier League midfielder Jimmy Bullard, 3-2 in the Isthmian League Premier Division at the weekend.

Following the victory Kingstonian wrote one of the greatest match reports of all-time, written in the style of a conversation overheard at the pub.

Here is an excerpt:

I know it is, that is kind of the whole point of it and because it mentioned the Del Boy falling through the bar thing. In fact for once Del Boy falling through the bar is funny, certainly compared to an ex footballer slipping when kicking a football. I really don't even understand why the BBC would print such utter pish.

What's the script with that story? A punter saying that Rangers would get relegated and they didn't, but claims because they went to the 3rd division then that is relegation?

 

Pretty much but the main issue is Coral attempting to change T&C's after the fact to stop paying out.

Not really new/old club debate but whether demotion/relegation are clearly defined in Coral's terms. Which it looks like they weren't when he placed his bet. They are robbing ****s IMO.

Corals will probably end up giving the **** 50k to be nice but I can't see how he expected to win the bet. Was he really thinking that Rangers were going to finish bottom of the table? If it was that he thought that they were in trouble and would get chucked out the league then he should have worded his bet more appropriately and if I was the judge, I would tell him exactly that followed by a "Good day, sir"
